Fifth Grader's Idea Helps Animals in Need

Shortly before Thanksgiving, two fifth graders had an idea and a heart for animals in need, so decided to try and raise money for Fresh Start Animal Rescue located in Belvidere, IL.    Natalie H. and Ryley G. decided to ask for help from students at Jean McNair Elementary.

Winnebago’s Foundation for Educational Excellence - 20th Anniversary March Madness Dinner

Save the date for this year's 20th Anniversary March Madness Dinner on Saturday, April 11 and will be held at Giovanni's. The night will be filled with games, auctions, dancing, and dinner. Tickets are $100, which includes dinner for two and a chance in our cash drawing.

High School Yearbook Sales Drawing to a Close

Last chance to reserve your student’s copy of the Winnebago High School yearbook! Buy online at www.yearbookforever.com or in the High School Office. Yearbooks are on sale for $45 now until Monday, February 2. A very limited number of books will be available in May for $60 on a first come basis at time of delivery.

Winnovation Open House February 15

Winnovation will host their annual Open House on Sunday,February 15, at the Bot Shop located at 110 N. Pecatonica St., Winnebago from 1 – 4 p.m. The Open House is a free event that everyone is welcome to attend. The team will have a preview of this year’s robot and probably be joined by a few other teams from the area. 

Junior Class presents Mr. WHS on February 21

The Winnebago High School Junior Class Presents The Second Annual Mr.WHS Pageant on Saturday, February 21 at 6 p.m. in the high school cafetorium.   Come and join the junior class for a fun filled evening! There will have a talent, beach wear, formal wear and final question and answer. Tickets are $7 per person with children 5 and under free.

Senior Citizen "Swing Into Spring" Dance April 11

Student Council presents "Swing Into Spring Dance"  on Saturday April 11, in the high school cafetorium.   WHS high school jazz band will play from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. and the Band "Class Act II" will play from 7 - 9 p.m.  More details to follow.

Drivers Education 2015-16

As registration is going on now, WHS Advisors wanted to remind you about the separate process for Driver Education registration. This applies to any family who is interested in their student completing driver education during a summer 2015 session or during the upcoming 2015-16 school year.

Eighth Grade students 2019

WHS staff invites you to attend Freshmen Orientation at Winnebago High School on Monday, February 2. 
  •  6:15 p.m. Students and parents may pick up materials in the WHS lobby.

Third Grade Concert February 17

Jean McNair Elementary third grade students will be performing their concert on Tuesday, February 17.. Performance time is 6:30 p.m. in the Winnebago High School Cafetorium. Songs will include "February!", "Blame It On the Groundhog", "Tongue-Twister", "LOL!", and an Irish folk tune - "The Rakes of Mallow".
