Student of the Week Announced at Jean McNair Elementary School

The following students were recognized with Student of the Week honors at Jean McNair Elementary School for the week of February 1.  Students were recognized for demonstrating McNair Pride, which includes exhibiting a positive attitude, putting forth exceptional effort in completing schoolwork, and displaying appropriate behavior.

"European Extravaganza" in 6th grade Social Studies

WMS 6th grade geography students experienced a "European Extravaganza" as a final project in their study of Europe. Students and their families discussed and then either made or purchased various food items/recipes with a European history.

All teachers and 6th through 12th grade students will be responding to the 5Essentials Survey

WHS National Honor Society Candidate Selection Form

The Winnebago High School Chapter of the National Honor Society officially began the NHS Selection Process on February 5, 2016. Students that were identified as being academically eligible for consideration for membership in the National Honor Society received an official letter on February 5th.

Preschool Screening Appointments Now Available for the 2016-17 School Year

Winnebago CUSD #323 will conduct preschool screenings for the 2016-17 school year on Wednesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 17. These children may be eligible to attend the Winnebago School District Preschool for the 2016-17 school year.

WHS Seniors register to vote in Political Issues classes

The Blues Come to Jean McNair Elementary School

The Crossroads Blues Society visited Jean McNair Elementary recently to bring their Blues in the Schools program to students in grades 3-5. The Blues in the Schools program is a cultural and musical appreciation program and was enjoyed by all in attendance.

Annual DARE Graduation Ceremony

Jean McNair fifth graders participated in the Annual DARE Graduation night on January 20.

Jean McNair fifth graders participated in the Annual DARE Graduation ceremony on January 20. Students completed a 10 weeks of the DARE Program. Retired FBI Agent and State Representative Jim Sacia spoke at the event. Chloe W. was the 2016 Chief George Saladino memorial recipient. 

WHS P.R.I.D.E. students for December

Congratulations to the Winnebago High School December P.R.I.D.E. Students of the Month! Our four grand prize winners: Collin W., Samantha H., Dylan L., and Mya S., were drawn from a group of 18 nominated students that were chosen by WHS staff.

Congratulations to the Winnebago High School December Seniors of the Month! Our two winners, Summer A. and Daven H., were drawn from a group of 10 nominated Seniors that were chosen by WHS staff.
