Student of the Week Recognized at Jean McNair Elementary School

Congratulations to the following students recognized with Student of the Week honors for the week of March 16.  Students were recognized for demonstrating McNair Pride, putting forth extra effort in the classroom, and/or showing improvement in academics or behavior.

WMS 8th grade undefeated Girls Basketball Team takes First in Rt. 72 Conference

The Winnebago Middle School 8th grade girls basketball team finished their season 14-0. Conference champions and Rt. 72 conference tourney champions.

The following students were recognized on Fri., Mar. 13, with Student of the Week honors at Jean McNair Elementary School. Students were selected based on demonstration of McNair Pride, improvement in work habits, citizenship, and extra effort shown during the week.

Congratulations to the Winnebago High School February P.R.I.D.E. Students of the Month! Our four grand prize winners: Nev R., Summer A., Ty W., and Zach Z. were drawn from a group of 11 nominated students that were chosen by WHS staff.

WHS February Seniors of the Month

Congratulations to the Winnebago High School February Seniors of the Month! Our two winners, Hunter E. and Allison K. were drawn from a group of 5 nominated Seniors that were chosen by WHS staff.

No School April 3 - 6 for Winnebago staff and students

Winnebago Schools will be closed April 3 - 6 in observance of the Easter Holiday. All school offices will be closed. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 7. 

WHS students celebrate 4th Inspire Change Week

During the week of March 2 -6 WHS celebrated its 4th Inspire Change Week. Inspire Change Week at WHS has been held in response to teaching students how to react positively to hard situations and deal with life's "lemon" moments.

Jean McNair student's Art projects will be in the Rockford Art Museum's 74th Annual Young Artist Show.  The artwork will be displayed at the Rockford Art Museum from April 12 -  May 17.
