Fifth Grade Students Complete the DARE Program

Fifth grade students at Jean McNair Elementary recently completed the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program.  Their hard work will be recognized with a graduation ceremony on Mon. evening, Nov. 24, beginning at 6:30pm in the WHS cafetorium. A very special thanks to the Winnebago Lions Club and Winnebago PTO for sponsoring this program and making it a reality for our students.

B&N Bookfair Dec. 7 for WMS and WHS Libraries

Save the Date! The WHS and WMS Libraries are hosting their annual Barnes & Noble Bookfair on Sunday, December 7 from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Cherryvale Mall. 

WMS Student Council and WHS National Honor Society members will be working the bookfair at the welcome table, holiday crafts with kids and free gift wrap. 

Events during the bookfair are as follows:

Winnebago CUSD #323 students and staff will not be in attendance November 26 - 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. All schools and offices will be closed.

Classes and offices will resume on Monday, December 1.

Winnebago High School Robotics Team Tours NASA Robotics Facility in Texas

Last July, Scott Rippetoe, coach of Texas Torque Robotics Team, issued a half-joking invitation to Scott Hill, coach of Winnovation Robotics Team, to compete at their off-season competition in Houston on November 8. Little did anyone know that quick note would turn into an amazing trip for 19 high school students.
