No School March 20 - 29

School Improvement Day will be held on Friday, March 20. No student attendance. Winnebago School District staff and students will not be in attendance March 23- 29. Schools will be closed for Spring Break. All school office will be closed. Classes will resume on Monday, March 30.  

The Simon School Days Newsletter - Is Now Active

Welcome to another fantastic school year! The Dorothy Simon school newsletter/flyer will be published once a month (usually the first Friday of the month) for all students who attend Dorothy Simon Elementary. 

No School April 3 - 6 for Winnebago staff and students

Winnebago Schools will be closed April 3 - 6 in observance of the Easter Holiday. All school offices will be closed. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 7. 

Pre-Enrollment of 2015-2016 Kindergarten Starts February 2

Kindergarten enrollment is for children who will turn 5 yrs old by September 1, 2015. By clicking on the form below, we will place your information into the new kindergarten enrollment roster for 2015-16.

Winnebago’s Foundation for Educational Excellence - 20th Anniversary March Madness Dinner

Save the date for this year's 20th Anniversary March Madness Dinner on Saturday, April 11 and will be held at Giovanni's. The night will be filled with games, auctions, dancing, and dinner. Tickets are $100, which includes dinner for two and a chance in our cash drawing.

Dorothy Simon students came back from winter break to the annual Climbing Unit.The students work through an obstacle course throughout Simon gym. There are monkey bars, balance beams, ladders to climb over and the  biggest challenge is climbing the rope. Brody C. and Mitchel C. wait for Brayden W. to join them on the monkey bars.

PTO Basket Raffle and District Wide Art Show will be held on Thursday, May 7 at the Winnebago High School gym.  

2015-2016 Countdown to Kindergarten

Changes of Phone Numbers or Addresses

Winnebago parents please make sure you have updated the school office if you have changed your home or cell phone numbers since the beginning of the school year.

Dorothy Simon School Calendars 2014-15

We will start adding a full month Simon calendar to the website starting in September. If you do have any specific questions about events or functions, please call the school office at 815.335.2318.

PTO Meeting dates, Minutes and Agendas

The Winnebago PTO invites all parents/guardians and teachers of students in Early Childhood to fifth grade to attend monthly meetings. The first meeting is in September. Agendas for meetings are sent home with students in advance and will note the meeting location and time.
