Middle School Girl's Basketball Registration Now Open!

Online registration for girl's basketball is now open and can be reached at  If this is your child's third sport for the 2014-15 school year, please contact the athletic department to receive a discount code for the registration.  

Jean McNair forms a new group called Friends against Bullying

Jean McNair students formed a new group at the school called Friends against Bullying.

CUSD #323 Golden Apple Nominees

Congratulations to Winnebago CUSD #323 teachers Mrs. Erb, Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Weber on their Golden Apple nominations. The teachers were honored at a reception last week. Good luck to you in your next steps of the process!

Fifth Grade Students Complete the DARE Program

Fifth grade students at Jean McNair Elementary recently completed the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program.  Their hard work will be recognized with a graduation ceremony on Monday evening, November 24, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the WHS cafetorium.

Stuffed Animal Collection

Wanted: New Stuffed Animals of any size, by Thursday, December 4.  Fifth Grade Chorus of Jean McNair Elementary is collecting new stuffed animals through Thursday, December 4. Drop off at McNair Office, or Simon or McNair Music Room. All stuffed animals will be given to organizations to distribute to needy children, just in time for Christmas!

B&N Bookfair Dec. 7 for WMS and WHS Libraries

Save the Date! The WHS and WMS Libraries are hosting their annual Barnes & Noble Bookfair on Sunday, December 7 from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Cherryvale Mall. 

WMS Student Council and WHS National Honor Society members will be working the bookfair at the welcome table, holiday crafts with kids and free gift wrap. 

Events during the bookfair are as follows:

Winnebago CUSD #323 students and staff will not be in attendance November 26 - 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. All schools and offices will be closed.

Classes and offices will resume on Monday, December 1.
