WHS Golf Team advances two golfers

Winnebago Boys Golf Team competed in the Class 1A Regional Tournament at Galena Golf Club on Tuesday, October 6.  The team finished at 355, just 5 strokes behind the 3rd place team, just barely missing a Sectional bid as a team. Stockton finished first at 343, with Polo finishing second at 349, and West Carroll finishing 3rd with 350.

First Student of the Week Announcement Held at Jean McNair Elementary School

The following students were selected as Student of the Week for the week of September 28.  These students were selected for demonstrating McNair Pride with exceptional effort in school work and positive behavior.

WMS Staff and Students raise money for St. Jude

September was National Children's Cancer Research Awareness month.  The WE Day crew at Winnebago Middle School held a variety of activities throughout the month to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Fall Preschool Screening Friday, October 16

Winnebago CUSD #323 will conduct preschool screenings for the 2015-16 school year on Friday, October 16. These children may be eligible to attend the Winnebago School District Preschool for the 2015-16 school year. Appointment times are limited.

WHS Environmental Science Class Visits Local Sites

WHS students enrolled in Mrs. Tighe's Environmental Science course traveled to the Rock River Environmental Services (Pagel Pit) Landfill and to the Rock River Water Reclamation District to find out how solid waste and sewage is handled in a large community. 

Annual WMS Garage Sale October 10

The Annual Winnebago Middle School Garage Sale is just around the corner—October 10, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. Donations of clothing, books, household and other small items will be accepted the week of October 5, from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Winnebago middle school office. 

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Free applications for Federal Student Aid begin and should be filled out starting January 1, 2016 for students entering college fall of 2016.

Dorothy Simon News from PE

Attention Parents. Do you have extra shoes that your child has grown out of? Would you be willing to donate them? Dorothy Simon PE could use those shoes as loaners for students who forget theirs during the school year.
