2010 Build Season Kickoff and Game: Breakaway

This season's game will be played with two alliances of three teams each. The game is played on a field that is separated into three sections by two bumps. At the end of the field are two goals. The object of the game is to utilize the robots to score goals using soccer balls.

Each goal is worth one point. Robots may launch the ball from their section of the field, maneuver over the bumps to or utilize one of the tunnels that are in the bumps to position themselves to score a goal. Each alliance is allowed to utilize only one robot to play defense against the other alliance's goal.

In the final twenty seconds of the game, the opportunity for bonus points becomes available. In the middle of each bump is a tower, and robots can score two bonus points by driving up onto the tower platform or hanging from the tower, no longer touching the ground (elevated). An additional three bonus points will be earned if another team's robot can suspend itself from the elevated robot on the tower.
