Winnebago CUSD #323 is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Scott Bloomquist as the new Superintendent of Schools for Winnebago Community Unit School District 323.
Winnebago CUSD #323 last day of student attendance is Thursday, May 30. Report Cards will be handed out in the morning.
Dismissal times are as follows.
Winnebago School District will be sending home Registration packets for the 2013-2014 school year with students on Thursday, May 23.
The Hoosier Basketball Camp held at Winnebago High School will have an adjusted schedule on Wed., May 29 due to a snow day earlier in the school year. On Wed., May 29 the younger camp students will have camp from 3:30pm to 5:30pm instead of during the day. Please contact the Activities Office at 815-335-2336 if you have any questions.

Winnebago High School Announces the 2012-13 Winnebago High School Seniors of the Month. These students were chosen by WHS staff. The Senior of the Month is sponsored by the First National Bank of Winnebago. Each students receives a $25 gift card and is treated to a lunch on May 13 at Anna's Pizza and Pasta.

On Saturday, May 5, four Winnebago High School students competed with 131other students (level 2A) on a Geometry Individual Test at the State ICTM Math Competition.

The countdown to graduation is in full swing! The following information will be discussed on May 7 during a Senior Class meeting at WHS. The documents attached will be distributed, but are available via web for a month-at-a-glance view for May and to help answer some frequently asked questions leading up to graduation and the end of the school year.
WHS junior Abby Becker, a Running Start student at Rock Valley College, is one of only eight community college students selected from around the country to participate in the 2013 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program at Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Several confirmed cases of varicella (chickenpox) have been reported at Winnebago Middle School this week. Nearly all the confirmed cases reported are known to have received one dose of varicella (chickenpox) vaccine before starting Kindergarten, as required by the state.
