The National Honor Society is a national organization with local chapters in most high schools and is sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
Winnebago High School will be hosting an Alumni Football game vs Oregon on August 15, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Colborn Stadium. The game will feature alumni from WHS taking on the Alumni from Oregon High School in a full contact game complete with officials following IHSA rules.
Winnebago Summer Track and Field/Cross Country Program's goal is to have all types of athletes have a chance to work on their individualized events, while getting a jump start on running. Coaches are experienced in vaulting, throwing, jumping, hurdles, sprints, and distance each week to work with all of the athletes.
Members of the Winnebago Chapter of the National Honor Society include students who excel in character, leadership, scholarship and service. As part of their membership, students are required to meet a minimum of six hours of service per semester. Often times, students go above and beyond the minimum requirement and participate as much as they can.
The Winnebago Chapter of the National Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony at WHS on Sunday, April 13th. The National Honor Society is a national organization with local chapters in most high schools and is sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
Congratulations to Winnebago Senior Sean Ward State Wrestling Champion. Sean competed this past weekend in the state meet at University of Illinois in the 182 weight class. Sean finished the season 36-1. Congratulations on a great season Sean!
