Michael Sojka dominated the 215 lbs. bracket at this year's state wrestling tournament. Sojka finished the year a perfect 40-0 to capture the Junior's first state title and become Winnebago's second individual wrestling state champion. Trace Engelkes also had an impressive showing in Champaign wrestling in the finals and finishing second at 145 lbs. Engelkes, a sophomore and 37-4 on the year, fell just short in the finals, losing 8-3. Great job to both young men and coach Shawn Babcock on an outstanding season!
